For writing this week we had to create a Fantansy Text based on a morphed animal we created. My animal is called a Gorllird and his name is Tonkins. It's called a Gorillid because it is a Gorilla and a bird in one.

My Prediction was: 20-12 so i was pretty close! Just 1 converted try in it.
Its been so boring without any NRL on anymore while we are in lockdown. I wish it was on all year long. I also miss playing sports. Its my favourite thing to do... so its very strange not to be playing summer sport.
I cant wait for NRL 2022.

What's up bloggers in today's blog it will be about I did in the School holidays.
During my school holidays I went for a big walk up One Tree Hilll with my Aunty, Uncle and 4 cousins and it was awesome looking at the view together. My uncle said the goal was to not stop until we got to the top and guess what we all did it! When we got to the top it was very windy because we so high up. While we were at the top of One Tree Hill we played a game to see who could spot any other moutains that people could walk up, we spotted Mt Roskill and Mt Wellington and a few others.
I have also been watching movies and playing Fortnite on my Xbox with my friends. My favourite movie that I watched during lockdown is a movie called rebound, it is about a college basketball coach who was forced to coach a junior high basketball team, that were not doing well.
I enjoy watching alot of sports movies as sports is one of my favourite subjects. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions on sports movies I could watch in the future.

This week in the preliminary final we have:

Manly vs Rabbitohs
I am picking theese two teams to win: Storm and Rabbitohs
Even though I am picking these teams, Panthers and Manly are still my favourites but I just don't think they'll be strong enough to win against Storm and Rabbitohs.
I WONDER WHO IS GOING TO BE IN THE GRAND FINAL! This is so exciting... Stay tuned!!!

Did anyone catch the games over the weekend? There were some tight matches and I thought most of my picks would have been a loss. Below I have listed the results from the games, lets see how many I got right from my predictions.
There were 4 games:

I got 3/4 how close was that! I really thought the Panthers were going to win as they have been a strong team all year, but the Rabbitohs defence was really strong.
This week there will be 2 games, lets see if I can predict the winners from these games as they will move on to play either the Storm or Rabbitohs in the prelimnary finals.

As you all know we have gone into lockdown level 4 becuase of the corona virus and Delta that has come to New Zealnad.
During lockdown I have been playing games on my xbox and watching movies and of course doing my online homelearning work.
What I have been doing for my online school work is finishing off my maths week level one work and for reading I have been doing research on NZ paralympians Sophie pascoe, Liam Malone and Lisa Adams.

What you need: For Rugby league you need to have Rugby boots, a mouthguard to protect your teeth, a Rugby ball and a head gear if you want.
Goal: Score as many tries as you can for your team and tackle the other team so they don’t score and most importantly win THE GAME!
Rule 1: make sure you play fair.
Rule 2: have good sportsmanship.
Rule 3: have a good game
Choose a captain for each team and then flip a coin heads or tails.
Then one team will either receive or kick the ball.
Then You will have to run with the ball or tackle if you have the ball.
If you want to get past the other team from tackling you you have to use your sidestep with your footwork. Some people are good at it and some people are not.
Hold the ball with two hands and don’t drop it.
Run it straight and bump people off.

For the past four weeks me and my class have been going to Cameron Pools and being taught by lifeguards and instructors. During our class time in the pool we were just doing some basics for the first day like freestyle and stream line. Two days after we were learning some harder stuff like back stroke with a board and without. Back stroke with a board was easy and hard at the same time. Then we got to go on the boat and learnt how to get on quickly without someone telling you what to do with the life jackets.
After those swimming lessons it was the weekend and then it was Monday. After monday which was Tuesday we went back to cameron pools on the bus, on the bus I got to sit at the back with my freinds Mason and Frank during that session we did extremly hard work it was like humongous we were doing a triathlon but in the pool.
The week we went into the nans pool to do rips and currents to learn how to survive in the water while in a rip and to swim with the current. So the rest of the people in my group made waves and I had to try swim agaisnt it. Then We got two 1.5 liter bottles and tryed to float with them and then we had to try save partner with a noodle and save them.

Hey What's up you amazing bloggers!
Today the year 6s got the chance to go to Spark Arena FOR FREE. Sounds crazy but we actually went. We were so excited.
First we visited the Happy Place. It is an instagram place where you have heaps of fun like jumping into a really deep ball pit or going into a room with heaps of confetti. The room with heaps of confetti was like a crazy shower because we were all dumping them on each other. We also took photos like we were Instagram models in a room full of flowers. There was also a big unicorn that you could sit on and take photos with and a giant cookie. The giant cookie we got to be the choc chips of the cookie so our faces were the choc chips.
Next we went to Sounds fun and we got to experiment with different instruments and music software. While we were in soundes fun I learnt how to play the Trumpet, trumbone and a p bone! We also got to play on some electric drums that was really cool and got opportunity to play on a keyboard that makes beats and music. In that building there was t-shirts signed by famous people like Bruno mars, Taylor swift, usher and Katy Perry and lots more.
Van Gogh Exhibition
A while later we went to the Van gogh art gallery and saw heaps of amazing art by van Gogh most of the art we saw were flowers and faces of people on the big screen accept there was multiple of them even on the ground!
Then we were going to go back to school the people gave us free food and we had some chips with a nice sandwich and an apple that was delicious and a JUICE!!
After that amazing day I felt like i was waiting to long to have the best experience at spark Arena!

Hey Bloggers, today's blog might be the best blog I have ever done!
On a wild Wednesday the Te Waka Ako warzone was CRAZY. When I arrived at school people started to come at me and say that there was heaps of strings in the classroom like we were about to be in trenches - and me and my freinds were right. The blinds were closed so we were peaking through to see what was happening, then we saw our teachers and saw that they wearing some army type of face paint. Then they let us in and it looked like it was in world war 1, even though I did not know what the war looked like.
When the disturbing bell went, we were in the one class with about 75 students in there because the other two had strings inside of them like trenches. While we were in trenches we had to do some work and while we were doing it the teachers were distracting us by playing gun noises with a speaker. SO DISTURBING!
We even had lunch in the trenches and it made feel about how they ate and what they ate during the war. how would you feel if you were in the war?

Whats good bloggers and welcome back to another one of my wonderful blog posts.
Yesterday the 8th the kind Mr Riceman took us to the central Auckland ripper rugby zones. To be in the team you had to trial for two weeks and Mr riceman would choose the best players and was one of them. On the day early that morning we got into groups to see who's car we were going in to and go to the park. during the day we had four games and we one all of them so we got through to the semi finals.
During the semi finals it was a close game against May Road Primary. During that game we were doing well and we ended up winning that game and me and my teammates were so exited! The score was 5-2! GRAND FINAL TIME against Hallsy drive. During that game I was playing against two of my close friends. In the game we were doing good but we kept letting them get through our line and scoring tries.
Unfortunately we lost the game by 1 point the score was 5-6 and the whole team was deprested😭😭! Until Mr Riceman told us that we could celebrate in the pool for making the finals! HOORAY!!🤗

On Tuesday I went to Softball zones for my school and we played other schools in the area of Mt Roskill. In our first game we played Hillsborough and we one by a couple of points. During the game I did not get out once, all of my runs went home for my team. After that game we played Marshall Lang and we ended up losing. At first I thought it was a draw but we sadly lost.
Then we went down to play Hay Park, a school very close to us. In the end, we ended up winning by heaps and went on to our next game against Halsy Drive and we ended up winning again by heaps. Next we had a very good team that we were about to play Dominion Road but then we endeed up winning that game as well!
After that we had plenty of other games. In the future I would like to play Softball for a real club and be a really good pitcher and fielder. Hope you enjoyed reading my blog.

Hey, bloggers last week there was a Tsnami in east cost NZ
Last friday when I woke up my mum and dad told that there was a earthquake early that morning. Then there was two other earthquake so I was worried that it would come to Auckland. When I heard about the Tsnunami warning on the News. Heaps of family's had to evacuate and to high because of the warning. One of my teachers Ms Sands was in Waipu and she went to the top of her drive way because it was very high and it was all concret.e During the warning heaps of people were driving down her driveway and then a big bus of sick people from a miny hospitly. Then she was letting people use her toilets and her neighbors did to. But one of people in the bus was really sick so she had to let her in the house and use a be, but not long after she passed away because she was extremely sick.
If I had a safety bag I would some basic stuff like a flash light and anyone should have a safety bag even if your not in the east coast. .I would also pack my yummy lunchbox and my hat so I don't get hot, also You would want to take a radio so you can here what's going on.

Here in Auckland we had another lockdown. During lockdown we had zoom meetings every morning at 9:00 am. When I heard that we were going be in lockdown I was excited because we didn't have to go to school for six hours. On our class zoom it was very cool to see my friends and some year 5's that I have never been on a zoom call with.
For my activites I had to finish one activity for each subject we had four subjects and they were maths, reading ,writing and other if your wondering what other it's just other activites like te reo maori or science. My favourite activity was my kahoot about vocabulary. I also liked doing lockdown diary that we had to do.
In my kahoot I did not do very well but I tried my best. next time my goal would be to do better and challenge myself and try harder kahoots. During my lockdown I felt happy because i got to play with my sister a little bit more and buy presents for her birthday!
